Palawan is one of the most famous tourist destinations in the Philippines. The most famous spot in Palawan is the municipality of El Nido. Where to stay in Palawan: El Nido’s poblacion is composed of four barangays and they are Buena Suerte, Corong-Corong, Maligaya and Masagana. They occupy two small peninsulas that is out into the Bacuit Bay. What they refer to as the as the Town Proper is the settlement parallel to the beach in Barangay Buena Suerte. Just next to it is Barangay Masagana which is best known for several more resorts and Calaan Beach. Corong-Corong lies on the souther cape and its nooks and crannies are filled with fine sand.

These are the areas where you can stay in the four main places: Buena Suerte - This is where most of the city life is. The streets are flanked with tour offices, small hotels and restaurants. Of all of the areas, it was the first to be developed in Palawan. Corong-Corong - It is tucked in the southern beach of the poblacion, it has the isolated tropical paradise feel. It is also the nearest to the bus terminal. Calaan Beach - The resorts have also begun flourishing in this area, but just like Corong-Corong, it is not crowded. The Islands - The accommodations on the islands are mostly luxury resorts, which are expensive. If you are in El Nido and if you want some peace and quiet, it is best to stay in either Corong-Corong or Calaan. But if you want convenience then you can stay in their Town Proper.
