Davao Butterfly House

This sanctuary will show you the four transformation stages that butterflies undergo, the egg, larva, pupa and adult. It takes about a month for a butterfly to deliver their eggs. There is a fruit nursery inside this sanctuary where you can purchase different varieties of fruits such as dwarf coconut tree, dragon fruit, banana tree, durian tree, balimbing tree, fig tree, atis tree, lanzones tree and many more.

There is a playground for children that can be found outside the butterfly house, and it is a place where both the kids and the adults can rest after their tour. There is also a souvenir shop that sells different souvenir items such as bracelets, necklaces, hats, shirts, umbrellas and more. There are also different beverages such as shakes, fruit juices, sodas and water available outside. You can also eat ice cream and sit in one of their stone benches that are outside of the sanctuary.

The Davao Butterfly House is open from 8:00am to 5:00pm every day. The entrance fee is 200 pesos and you can already access three sanctuaries, the Davao Butterfly House, the Davao Crocodile Park and the Tribu K’ Mindanawan Cultural Village. Each trip could last for an hour, so it would be a 3 hour visit to this area.

If you wish to visit the Davao Butterfly House, then you can do so by flying from Manila to Davao City. Your air fare will depend on your airline. Once you get to the airport, you can then ride a taxi to go to the Davao Butterfly House, the flag down rate is 40 pesos and it will cost you around 100 to 120 pesos to get to the sanctuary.
