There is an ancient folklore that surrounds this beautiful waterfall, as there are stories among the locals that women are not allow to enter the place of the waterfall alone, they believe that if a woman bathed in the waterfalls alone, an enchanted prince will invite her to be his wife, which can then enchant and captivate her and the enchanted prince will then take the woman to his world.
This urban legend has been going on for years, but it did not stop the tourists to visit the place, and the locals as well as the government has deemed the place safe for tourists and local adventurers. The falls is open from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm and the entrance fee for adults is 10 pesos while the entrance fee for adults is 5 pesos.
If you wish to visit this place, you can do so by flying from Manila to Davao City, your air fare will depend on the type of airline that you will book your flight with. From Davao City, you then need to ride taxi to go their bus terminal, it will cost you 120 to 160 pesos. You then need to ride a bus bound to Tagum City, it will cost you 120 to 150 pesos and it is an hour ride. From Tagum Overland Integrated Terminal, you then need to ride a bus bound to Nabunturan Public Terminal, it is an hour ride and it will cost you another 120 to 150 pesos. From Nabunturan Public Terminal, you then need to ride a jeepney bound to Maragusan Public Terminal, it will cost you 20 to 30 pesos and it is another hour ride. From the Maragusan Public Terminal, you then need to ride a jeepney bound to Tagbibinta Falls and it will cost you another 20 to 30 pesos.
